Year 2 of teaching here I come! I love being in the classroom with my students and I am so ecstatic for the year to come. As I was praying for this year God gave me such a beautiful word and verse to share with the parents. He reminded me of the Cory Asbury song Sparrows. It’s a beautiful song that reminds us that we don’t have to worry about tomorrow or the things around us because God takes good care of us. The Lord reminded me of Matthew 6:26-27 “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
As I was making this bulletin board for my classroom, I was reminded of the ways the Lord had been taking care of me recently. He provided for me to go to Kentucky and visit friends and family, he provided for me to visit my boyfriend, and he provided another opportunity to teach in a classroom. I am so grateful for another year where I get to help steward the hearts of students and walk with them as I point them to Jesus and teach them the fundamentals of math. It truly is a blessing to work with and disciple kids. I am so privileged to have this opportunity and can’t wait to share the ups and downs with you!
Much love,
Rebekah
